For several years, I looked at the house, which used to be a textile factory and was converted into loft apartments and studios, from the outside. I never had the time to take the OpenHouse tours. When I listened to the podcast with painter Erika Voith, I knew that I wanted to get to know not only the house she had found, but also her.
Sometimes it's good to let the excitement ripen, because when I peeked inside the DADA Distrikt house on Sekaninova street, I wasn't alone. We were lucky enough to do so on my walk from Písečník to Stará osada, which I organized in March.
I reached out to Erika and, even though she was outside the Czech Republic, she arranged our visit with her kind neighbor Tereza. Tereza took time off work for us to show us not only the house, Erika's studio, but also Tereza's apartment and a roof terrace.
